Donderdag 31 juli was alweer het vierde evenement voor de coureurs in de Witmer & Odijk Westfield Cup. Het DNRT had na de gebruikelijke vrije training en de kwalificatie vier races voor de rijders uit de leukste merkencup van Nederland in petto. Kortom een zeer vol programma dat het uiterste vergde van de conditie van de coureurs en het materiaal.
Op een zonnig circuit van Zandvoort werden de zeges verdeeld onder de equipe De Groot / Stakenburg en Arjen Heeck, waarbij Arjen Heeck uiteindelijkmet de dagoverwinning aan de haal ging nadat Stakenburgin de laatste race niet verder kwam dan plaats drie. Derde werd Willem Vriend en Hayley Lazell pakte de vierde plek.
Een kleine twintig coureurs wisten hartje zomer de piste aan de Noordzee te vinden. Hetgeen resulteerde in vier spannende races en een goede sfeer. Voor de afwisseling werd er dit keer geen gebruik gemaakt van het gebruikelijke tentconcept, maar werd de tijd tussen de races door doorgebracht in een VIP-room met uitzicht op start/finish en de pitstraat.
Al met al weer een zeer geslaagd evenement. Gelukkig is het super race weekend alweer over twee weken – vrijdag 15 augustus – dus lang wachten om weer in te stappen of te kijken naar de Witmer & Odijk Westfield Cup is gelukkig niet het geval.
